Vintage Marantz 8B amplifier Repair "I recently had my vintage Marantz 8B amp repaired by Excel Stereo. Although it was a relatively small job, Lawrence took the time to meet with me to discuss the amp, and was able to open her up, diagnose the problem and give me a quote on the spot. Although they told me the amp would be ready in a week, I was happy to receive an email the next day saying that the amp was ready. When I picked it up, they had it hooked up to their system and demo'ed it to show that it was working properly. The amp was all cleaned up and looked almost new. They also gave me a bag of the old parts that were replaced. In this day and age its almost impossible to get great service at reasonable prices, but they provide both.
