Northstar DAC   A customer brought in a Northstar Upsampling DAC with excessive hum, and static noise. Bench test reveals that the unit was leaking DC voltage due to transistor failures. We took the time to find 2 matched transistor out of a batch of 400 ! We test each transistor individually find two with matching characteristics. The process was extremely time consuming.
